Sioux City Gardener Buried Among Friends
Born 3 Feb. 1869 s-Heerenbroek, Netherlands
Died 23 Jan 1933 Sioux City, Iowa

John Dyk was buried in Memory Gardens Sioux Center cemetery Thursday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.M. Dykstra thur the First Christian Reformed Church.

John Dyk,73 was known in Sioux Center by some of the older residents. He had no relatives or comnnections in America and chose to be buried in the town where he knew a few old times dutch friends.

For the past thirty years Mr. Dyk has lived in Sioux City. He was a gardner by trade. For 25 years he worked for W.M. Beck of Sioux City, at the time of his death he was caretaker in the home of John Kelly editor of the Souix City Tribune. The only suriviing relatives are a brother and a sister living in Holland
