Mrs. Heimstra Dies At Rock Valley
Mrs. Anna Heimstra of Rock Valley died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dick Van Eldik after a long illness. She had been confined to her bed since Wednesaay night.
Ann Wiersma was born at Achlum, Friesland June 20, 1863. She came to America fifty-eight years ago, and settled at Le Mars, where they lived
for 13 years. Then they moved to Hull, where they lived for 14 years. They then moved t o a
farm southwest of Rock Valley, where they lived for two years and then moved into Rock Valley,
where they have made their home since. Mr. Heimstra passed away on Jan. 4, 1938.
Seven children were born to them who all survive. They are John of Los Angeles, Calif.,
Gertie, Mrs. Albert Gort of Sioux Falls, Clara, Mrs. Wm. Van Sloten, Peter of Sioux (Falls, D.; Rena, Mrs. Abe Brandsma of Canton, S. D.;
Martha, Mrs. Dick Van Eldik of Rock Valley and Donald of Rochester, Minn. She is also survived by one brother Daniel Wiersma of Volga, S. D. 24
grandchildren and 28 great I grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Van Eldik home at 1:30 and at 2:00 o'clock at the Christian Reformed Church. Interment will be in the family burial plot in Valley View Cemetery.
