Alvord, IA - Cesar Castillo, 19, died Sunday, July 16,2006
in an auto accident. Funeral service will be 11 a.m.,
Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Porter Funeral Home, Rock
Valley. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Reverend Don Nelson will
officiate. Visitation will begin noon on Wednesday with the family present from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at
Porter Funeral Home.
Cesar Adrian Castillo was born August 18, 1986 in Del Rio, TX, the first son of Porfirio "Pilo"
and Martha (Hernandez) Castillo. He graduated from West Lyon High School in 2005 where he
was active in sports and especially enjoyed Coach Rozeboom. He made his family proud in
school. Cesar was well liked by his friends and relatives. He loved his family and cared for
younger people who needed help. Cesar taught his younger brother to be strong and active,
giving him good advice. He will always be remembered by his family, friends and teachers.
Survivors include his parents, Porfirio "Pilo" and Martha Castillo of Alvord; a brother, Porfirio
Castillo III; sisters: Esmeralda and Erika Castillo all of Alvord; paternal grandparents, Porfirio
Sr. and Natalia Castillo and maternal grandfather, Julian Hernandez all of Del Rio, TX; many
uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
Cesar was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diamantina Hernandez.
