Gertrude Frances Arens, 75, died Friday in Palo Alto Calif. She was a former resident of Alton and was employed years ago in the liquor store in Alton.
Mrs. Arens is survived by three sons, Roger of Texas, Thomas of Portola Valley and Leonard of Georgia; two sisters, Margaret Adney and Joan Popyach, both of San Diego, Calif.; two granddaughters and nine great-grand- children.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Palo Alto. Interment was at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, Santa Clara under direction of the Roller & Hapgood & Tinney Funeral Home in Palo Alto.
The family prefers that memorials be donations to the Palo Alto Senior Citizens Center, 450 Bryant St., Palo Alto, Calif.
