Funeral services for Conrad P. DeJong, 92, retired Hospers business man who died Thursday at the Sheldon Community Hospital were held at 1:30 P.M., Monday at the First Reformed Church of Hospers. The Revs. Gerrit Doctor of Orange City, Kenneth Leetsma of Sheldon and F. R. Veenstra of Hospers officiated. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mr. DeJong was born October 20, 1872 at Newkirk, Iowa and he was married to Mary Hoeven, April 26, 1899 in Hospers. They have lived there ever since.

Survivors include the widow, daughters, Mrs. Edyth Hoffs of Sheldon, Mrs. Phyllis Beswick of Buffalo, NY and Mrs. Hazel Bynes of Rochester, MN, one son, Edwin of Mercedes, Tex, three sisters, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
