The funeral of the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Krausert, living northeast of town, was held from the Catholic church in this city, last Saturday.
(from the Alton St. Mary's cemetery index Joseph Krausert born 14 Feb 1897 died 27 Feb 1897 listed on same stone as Frederick Krausert, his grandfather and Thekla his grandmother. Baby Joseph was the son of Conrad Krausert b.Jun 1868 Iowa m.1891 to Anna Maria Kuffler or Kuveler b. Nov 1868 Germany, children in the 1900 census of Floyd Sioux County IA were - Anna 1893, Tekea 1894, Michael 1895, Heinrich 1898, and Servus 1900. Found two more children Rosa 1906 and Bernard 1909, the family later moved to Ramsey County MN where Conrad died Oct 1952.)
