L. Ketel and A. M. Braskamp left for Harrison SD, last Saturday to attend teh funeral of Peter Ketel, brother of L. Ketel and Brother in Law of A. M. Braskamp, who died at his home at that place Thurssday of last week. They returned hoe Wednesday morning. (Peter Ketel family were former Sioux County residents as noted in the 1880 census. At that time Peter was 48 farmer living in Holland Tsp. wife was Dena 35 children were Rika 6, Bernard 5, Henry 2 and John 3 mo. His brother Laurens was also living in Sioux County in 1880 already. From an account of the family found on line Pieter Ketel was born 1824 he died Feb 1897 at Harrison SD, wife was Cornelia VanderWilk 1820-1886, Only a child Jacobus was noted born 1855. )
