George E. Eilers, 66, Sheldon, died Tues. Nov. 10, 1987 at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral services were at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, Nov. 13 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sheldon with Rev. Dennis Heifner and Rev. Dwane Shay. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Matlock, under the directions of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sheldon.

George Eilers, son of Will & Clara (DeVries) Eilers, was born March 18, 1921, at Ireton. On Nov. 23, 1941, he married Zelma Ludwigs at Craig. He was a retired farmer and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife, Zelma; two daughters: Judy (Mrs. Harold) Riemersma, Ashton, & Joan (Mrs. William) Oakes, El Centro, CA; a son, Gene, Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Clara Eilers, George; a brother, Lawrence, Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father.
