Florence B. Larson, 94, of Alcester, SD, died Wednesday, August 5, 1998, at the Morningside Manor Nursing Home in Alcester.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Friday, August 7, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Alcester. Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, at Alcester Baptist Church.
Mrs. Larson was born June 16, 1904, near Alcester, the daughter of William and Anna (Behnkey) Finch. She was raised on a farm near Alcester and attended Miller Country School. She then helped on the farm.
She married Orrin Larson on March 5, 1925, in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Alcester area until 1943, when they moved into Alcester. She had lived in the Village Apartments in
Alcester. He died March 11, 1994.
She was a member of Presbyterian Country Church.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Delores and Oliver Anderson, of Alcester; a granddaughter, Lorna Peterson; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Ida Cooper, of Alcester; and two sistersin-law Doris (Mrs. Rolland) Larson and Doris (Mrs. Glen) Larson, all of Alcester.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
