Death Of Mrs.Roy Brown Passes Away After Very BriefIllness From Peritonitis.Mrs.Roy J. Brown died at her home on the north side early Wednesday morning from Peritonitis after an illness of only four days. She was taken ill Saturday night and her condition was regared as very critical from the start. Tuesday evening Drs. McAllister & Meyer, assisted by Dr. Palmer, performed an operation in hopes of saving her life. but medical skill was unavailing. The deceased was born at Sloan, Iowa, June 10, 1883. With her husband and two children she came to Hawarden about three years ago. She made a number of warm friends here who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church at nine o'clock Friday morning and the body will then be taken to Sioux City for interment. She was a member of the Woodman Circle and members from this order and from the W.O.W. will accompany the funeral party to Sioux City.
