Rose Modderman
March 4, 1904—January 11, 1994 Rose Modderman, 86. of Sioux Center, formerly of Renville, Minnesota, died January 11 at the Sioux Center
Nursing Home.
The former Rose Van Dalen was born March 4. 1907, in Pease, Minnesota, to Garret and Grace Van Dalen. She married Helmer Modderman on April 1, 1936. They moved to the Clara City, Minnesota, area in 1942. They moved south of Renville in 1956, where they lived and farmed
until 1976. when they retired and moved into Renville.
She was a member of the Ladles' Aid at Emden Christian Reformed Church in her earlier years.
Survivors are her children: Audrey and Marvin Van Vuuren of Sioux Center, George and Verla Modderman of Montevideo, Minnesota, Trudy and
Bob Mouw of Sioux Center and Sandra and Marloe Kortgard of Apple Valley, Minnesota; one sister, Grace Goedke of Pease, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Pete, Andrew and John; and four sisters. Cora, Lamie, Ann and Jennie.
