John Mittelmeyer
John Mittelmeyer, 79, of Orange City died April 25 in the Orange City hospital alter a long illness.
Services were Tuesday, April 29, in the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.
The Rev.. Frances Nemmers officiated. The body will be cremated. Visitation was in the funeral home.
Mittelmeyer was born May 8; 1906, in Bremenreuth, Germany. He moved with his parents as a child to Holzhammer, Germany where he lived
until coming to the United States and the Granville area at the age of 16. He was engaged in farming in the Granville area until retiring in 1978.
He moved to Orange City in 1980. Survivors include a brother, Sepp of Weida, East Germany; a sister, Anna Kreuzer of Metterteich, West Germany; three half brothers, Antone of Bamberg, West Germany, George of Schneitenbach, West Germany and Henry Mittelmeyer of Holzhammer,
and three half sisters, Fanny and Rosa, both of Holzhammer and Wallie of Tirschenreuth, West Germany.
