Death of George Mins George Mins passed away Saturday noon at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. F. E. McNally, west of Ireton, following a long illness from cancer of the stomach. During the last month of his illness he had been a
patient in a Sioux City hospital and was brought to his daughter's home only a few days before his death.
Funeral services were held at the McNally home Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. A. Kettle, pastor of the M. E. church, and interment was made in the Ireton cemetery. The
Odd Fellows, of which order the deceased had long been a member, conducted the services at the grave.
The deceased was born in Germany in 1848, so was about 74 years of age. He was an early settler in Sioux county and operated a meat market at
Maurice for about twenty-five years.
His wife died about fourteen years ago and since her death he has made his home most of tne time with his children. He is survived by one son
and two daughters, Lawrence of Parker, S. D., Frances of Omaha, and Mrs P. E. McNally of Ireton.
