Mrs.Sabra Brown Early Resident Of Hawarden Succumbs

Mrs. Sabra Brown of Highland Parks, Calif., and early day resident of Hawarden, died Saturday November 20.

Funeral services were held the following Monday at Utter-McKinley Highland Park chapel. Officiant was Eastern Star Glassell Park No. 486. The body was cremated and will ber sent to Sioux City for Interment in Graceland Park cemetery.

Sabra Wood was born July 18, 1863, in Avoca, NY. She came to Hawarden with her parents when a young woman. After coming to Hawarden she married A.R. Brown. She lived here until 1920 when she went to California. She was a sister of the late H.L. Wood and B.G. Wood of Sioux City.

Survivors are four nephews and two nieces, Ellis Wood of Hawarden Harley Wood, Hobart Wood and Mrs. Ray Naughton of Sioux City, Mrs. Ralph Pierce of Larchmont, NY., and Elliot Wood of Pasadena, Calif.
