William 'Ray' Minor, 66, of Hawarden and formerly of Kinta OK, and Elk Point SD, died Tuesday Nov 5, 1991 at a hospital in Hawarden after a long illness.
Services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elk Point with the Rev. Leslie Hernes and Pastor Karla Kirkeby officating. Burial was held at the Elk Point Cemetery.
Mr. Minor was born March 8, 1925, in Nebraska City NE., the son of Frank and Verlia Streeter Minor. He moved to Jefferson SD., with his parents in 1939. He married LaVonne Rosenbaum June 28, 1945, in Elk Point. He was employed with Bushnell Dairy Farm until 1946. He was then employed at the Sioux City Stockyards until 1981 when he retired and moved to OK. He had lived in Hawarden since September 1991.
Mr. Minor was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elk Point.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Rolland of Kinta, OK, David and his wife, Evelyn, and Kevin and his wife, Madonna, all of Hawarden, and Dennis and his wife Michaelene, of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Don Lynda Barton of Fayette MO, and Mrs. Gail Rita Dunham of Kinta OK; 25 grandchildren; five great grandchilren; two brothers, Franklin and cloifford, both of Jefferson SD; and a sister, Mrs. Arnold Fern Damru of Westfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
