Aaron L. Minor, 21, of Akton IA, died unexpectedly on Saturday February 28, 1998, in Sioux county, near Ireton IA.
Services were held on Wednesday morning, Mar 4, 1998 at St. John's Lutheran Church rural Akron, the Reverend William Kallestad officating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.
Aaron was born February 18, 1977, in Akron, the son of Dennis L. and Michaelene K. Gabel Minor. he attended school in Akron and graduated from Akron-Westfield High School in 1995. He was conformed in the Lutheran faith at St. John's lutheran Church in 1991, and had been involved in the church youth group over the years. Aaron held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. and enjoyed auto mechanics, spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Michaelene Minor of Akron; Three brothers, Mike of Akron, and Matt and Chris at home; a special Friend, Jennifer Anderson of Akron; maternal grandparents Eldon and Viola Gabel of Akron; paternal grandparents, Amos and LaVonne Benson of Vermillion, SD, paternal Great grandmother , Ifa Rosenbaum of Elk Point SD; maternal great grandmother, Edna Hasenbank of Akron; two nieces, Laura Tentinger and Michaela Minor, both of Akton; and several uncles, aunts and cousin.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal grandfather, William Minor; a great grandfather, Carl Hasenbank; and a great grandmother, Minnie L. Gabel.
