Mrs. Delbert (Helen) Mitchell, 83, of Ireton died Friday, March 2, 1984, at a Hawarden hospital after a long illness.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, at St. Paul's Lutheran chruch at Ireton. The Rev. Paul Sieveking officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton under direction of Dow Funeral HOme in Ireton.

Mrs. Mitchell, the former Helen Grau, was born January 22, 1901 in Tama County. She came to Sioux County when 3 years old and lived in the Ireton area the rest of her life. She married Delbert Mitchell September 24, 1919, in Orange City. He died July 23, 1976.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Chruch, the Ladies Aid of the chruch and had been an active member of the Ireton Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Mr. Elmer (Lois) Degner of Lemars and Mrs. Norman (Neva) Marienau of Ireton; one son Keith of Hawarden; one step son Cleotis Mitchell of Tucson AZ; 15 grand and nice step grandchilden; 33 great grandchildren, 15 great step grand children, and two great great grandchildren.
