Mr. Frank DeRoos, 316 Ann St. East Lansing, MI age 64 died Monday, December 5, at an East Lansing hospital.
He was born December 20, 1895, in Hull IA. He was a resident of East Lansing for the past 18 years, was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church and was employed at the Kroger store in Frandor.
Mr. De Roos was a veteran of WWI and a Charter member of the American Legion Post at Hull IA.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; 2 daughters, Mrs. Howard Philips of Gardner, MS; Mrs. Robert MacKenzie of Ft. Lauderdale FL; 4 grandchildren; 6 sisters, Mrs. Johanna VerHoef of Paulina IA, Mrs. Agnes Dethmers of Grand Rapids MI; Mary Mrs. Richard Vande Vegte of Rock Valley, Mrs. Josie Vander Schaaf of Sheboygan WI; Mina Mrs. Henry Huibregtse of Hull, Harriet Mrs. Dick Vogel of Bemidji MN; 2 brothers, John of Rock Rapids IA, and Andrew of San Leandro CA.
Funeral services were held from the Gorsline Runciman funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday December 7, Rev. David McClean officating. Interment was in Chapel Hill. (Pall bearers listed...)
Before moving to Michigan Mr. De Roos resided at Hull IA, where he was employed at the Farmers Cooperative Lumber Yard.
He was a member of the American Reformed Church at Hull IA.
