William R.Moir,94, of Maurice, died Sunday in a care center in Sioux City.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Mauer Funeral Home in Le mars. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Mr. Moir was born Oct. 9,1887 in Sioux County. He farmed in the Maurice area and had lived at the care center in the last five months. He married Nellie Wynia May 5, 1920, at Ocheyedam. She died in 1969, He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include on son, Don of Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Elsie) Brown of Saliv; one brother Glenn of La Mars; one sister ,Mrs. Lloyd(Ethel) Laughton of Le Mars, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
