Herman Lee, year and a half old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kruid was drowned Sunday forenoon when he fell into a tank of water. Mrs. Kruid was giving aid to her husband who had an infection to his leg and they did not notice the little boy leave the house, and after searching the farm building they found him in the tank. The doctor and neighbors were called in but it was to late to save him.

He is survived by his parents and one three year old brother.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 17 from the home at one o"clock and at 1:44 at the Second Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Oliver Breen officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Note: He was born 16 Apr, 1942 and died 15 Aug. 1943
