Gerrit De Haan,81,of Sioux Center, died Tuesday in a hospital in Sioux Center.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr De Haan was born April 1,1899, in the Netherlands. He served in the Dutch Army in the Netherlands during World War I. He married Adriana De Graaff in 1927 in the Netherlands. They came to the United States in 1928 and farmed in the Sioux County area.
Survivors include the widow; four sons, John of Granville, Mich., Cornie of Inwood, Tony of Sioux Center, and Gary of Orange City; four daughters, Mrs. Marvin(Judy) Westra of Jenison, Mich., Mrs. Orville(Tilly) Pasma of Byron Center, Mich., Mrs. Wayne (Marie) Ekdom of Pipestone, Minn. and Mrs. Warren (Betty) Valentine of Rock Valley; three brothers and one sister in the Netherland; 29 grandchildren ; and 10 great grandchildren
