Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church in Boyden at 10 a.m. May 24 for Mrs. Dick DeGroot,82, of Boyden, who died May 22 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Henry Moos in Hull. Services were conducted by the Rev. Sylvester Moths and burial was made in Cooperative Funeral Home of Sioux Center

The former Elizabeth Kleyne was born in the Netherlands October 3, 1889, and moved to the Boyden area with her parents as an infant. She was married to Dick DeGroot February 10, 1916. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.

Survivors besides the daughter in Hull include a son, Thomas of Boyden, a brother Leonard of Boyden; and eight grandchildren.
