William 'Bill' Miller, 48, of Gerfield township died at the Akron hospital Monday, Febraury 19. He had been in failing health for some time, suffering from a heart condition.
Funeral services were held a the Lutheran Church at Hudson last Thursday afternoon with Rev. Richard E. Larson of Vermillion officiating.
William Wesley Miller was born November 2, 1902 in Garfield Township. He was graduated from the Rock Valley high school and for a few years he was in business in Rock Valley. He was associated in business with his brother Harry at Hudson for a few years and later engaged in farming.
He married Jospehine Serck at Sioux Falls November 25, 1926. He is survived by his widow; his mother, Mrs. Ida Miller of Rock Valley, and five brothers, Albert and Harry of Hudson and Elmer, Ernest and Clarence of Rock Valley.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and joined the Peace Lutheran Church is Plato township. Later he transfered his membership to the Huson Lutheran church. He was a member of the Hudson Masonic Lodgy.
