Rites Heldo for Mrs. Miller, 54
Resident of this vicinty for 31 years dies at Hawarden Hospital after long illness.
Mrs R. C. Miller, 54, a resident of this vicinity 31 years died at the Hawarden hospital Sunday morning.
Mrs. Miller had been ill for a long time and at various times had been cared for at the Hawarden Hospital. Last Saturday when her condition became critical she again entered the hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Associated church with Rev. T. A. Mansen officiating. Mrs. John Morgan with Mrs. Claus providing music. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral service.
Rella Eugenia Boisseau was born October 13, 1895, at Buloxi MS. she moved to New Orleans, LA., with her parents when 3 and there her father died in 1901 and her mother in 1907. together with her siser and a younger brother she went to Galveston TX to live with an aunt. She attended Ursuline academy at Galveston. In 1913 she moved to Sioux City to live with her brother.
She was married December 31, 1918, in Sioux City to Charles Miller of Hawarden after which she came here to live on a farm. Mr. and Mrs. Miller came to Hawarden to live June 1, 1946.
She was the mother of 3 children, Max E. of Sioux Falls, Warren of Hawarden and Mary of Chicago. She also took two nieces, Mrs. Harold Goldsmith of Ridgefield CN, and Mrs. John Clark of Los Angeles CA, and a nephew, John Boisseau of New York City, into her home to care for.
Survivors beside the widower and three children are one sister, Mrs. Adeline McCray of Los Angeles CA, and two grandchildren, Lerry Miller of Hawarden and Charles Miller of Sioux Falls.
