Violet Marie Miller, 76, of St. Paul MN., formerly of Rock Valley, died Wednesday in a hospital in St. Paul.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Pioneer United Methodist Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Ron Johnson officatited. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller, the former Violet Marie Griffin, was born Nov 20, 1908, in Sioux county. She married Harold Miller in 1926 at Sheldon. They moved to Rock Valley in 1947. He died July 4, 1962. In 1982 she moved to St. Paul to make her home with her daughter.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce of Weshington KS., Calvin and Allen both of Cedar Rapids; six daughters, Mrs. Deral Virginia Hassebroek and Mrs. Bill Glenda VanDyke, both of Sacrmento CA., Mrs. Homer Jolene Muth and Mrs. Keith LaVerle Brunke, both of Sioux Falls SD and Mrs. Bill Darla Logston of Portland OR, and Mrs. Gary Sharil Warner of Cottage Grove MN; 30 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
