Robert B. Miller, 82, of Sun City West Ariz. died Jan 11, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan 14 at Best Funeral Home in Sun City West with the Rev. Franklin Green officiating. Interment was Jan 16, in the National Memorial Cemetery of Phoenix, AZ.
Robert Miller wsa born Dec 27, 1920 at Hawarden the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller. He attended Miller School district #35 Country School and graduated from Hawarden High School in 1938, and from Iowa State college, Ames in 1943. He was a lieutenant in the Army Artillery in Philippines during WWII.
On July 24, 1944 he married Ruth Hunter of Scranton IA. They made their home in Aurora MN. Mr. Miller was employed as an engineer with the Erie Mining Co. They retired to Sun City West about 25 years ago.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; sons, John Alan, and Glen; daughters Mary Jo, Lois Ann and Jane; 11 grandchildren; one brother J. Quinten Miller of Beresford; two sisters, Dorothy Berry and Alice Marie Kopp of Hawarden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
