Peter Calvin Miller, 58, Hawarden died Monday Dec. 11, 2000 at his residence in Hawarden.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Loren Vogler officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home.
Peter Calvin Miller was born Jun 25, 1942 in Rock Valley, to Russell and Jennie (Smit) Miller. He graduated from the Rock Valley High School in 1961. He married Bonnie Singer, Sept 14, 1962 at Orange City. They made their home in Hawarden. He was employed at various meatpacking companies in the area, and was foreman for Beef America in LeMars, where he worked of 27 years. He later worked at Quick Corner.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; his mother Jennie of Hawarden; son Peter Calvin Wayne Miller Jr. of Hawarden; daughters Dawn Lewison of Hawarden, Starla Harry of Hawarden, Petericia Hurtado of Sioux Center, and Amy Martinez of Hawarden; brothers Russell Miller of Canton SD, Wayne Miller of Hawarden; sisters, Elsie Evens of Cedar Rapids and Kathy DenBoer of Sioux Falls and 11 grandchildren.
