Funeral Services for Frank Lester Miller, whose death occurred Saturday evening, March 4th at the Hudson Hospital, were held at the home at 1:30 last Wednesday afternoon and then at the Peace Lutheran chruch. The services were very largely attended by neighbors, raltives and friends. Rev. Hugo Beyer preached a very fine sermon and he was assisted by Rev. A. G. Bretthauer of Alvord and Rev. Gronseth of Hudson. Hymns were sung.....
Frank Lester Miller was born on a farm in Garfield Township, southeast of Rock Valley, June 10, 1896, and so was 42 years, 8 months and 24 days old at the time of his death. He had lived on this farm practically all his life except when he served in the World War. He was untied in marriage with Amanda Schuldt Dec 21, 1921, who together with six children is left to mourn his death. The children are Raymond, Robert, Arnold, Eleanor, Fay, Fred and Lois Jean. He is also survived by his mother Mrs. Ida Miller, and six brothers, Elmer, Albert, Ernest, Harry, Will and Clarence Miller, besides a large number of other relatives and host of friends. His father, Fred Miller, preceded him in death alomst eight years ago, April 9, 1931.
Mr. Miller was a useful man in his neighborhood and home and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran church and served on the church board of trustees for a number of years. He was also a member of the American Legion. Members of the legion attenced the funeral and accorded him military honors. We extend our simcere sympathy to the bereaved family in their great loss.
