Emma Lena Miller, 93, formerly of Rock Valley, died at her nursing home residence in Hudson SD.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday August 11, at Peace Lutheran Chruch in rural Sioux Center with the Rev. James Peterson officiaing. Burial was in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
The former Emma Tank was born July 26, 1899, in rural Sioux Center, daughter of John and Catherine Tank. She married Edwin A. Miller February 25, 1920, at Peace Lutheran Chruch. they lived in rural Raock Valley. He died January 4, 1963. She moved to the Colonial Manor in Hudson March 25, 1988.
She was a member of the Rural Study Club and the Legion Auxiliary and often participated in flower shows.
Survivors include a son and his wife, John E. and Mary Miller of Rock Valley, four daughters and thier husbands, Ruth and Joe Franken of Lebonan, Inez and Don Slefken of Mason City, Katie and Jim Munday of LeMars and Neva and Paul Johnson of Algona; two sisters, Emilie Klein of Inwood and Catherine Moeller of Rock Valley; 21 grandchildren; and 30 great - grandchildren.
