Funeral services were held Tuesday February 23, for Elmer Edwin Miller, 65 at the Peace Lutheren church at 2 p.m. Burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery with military services with Pfarrer-Fox American Legion Post in charge.
Mr. Miller died Saturday afternoon, February 20, at the Sioux Center hospital after an illness of several months.
Mr. Miller was born March 6, 1894, on a farm southwest of Rock Valley. He grew up in this vicinity and served in the first World War. For nearly 30 years he has been associated with the Rock Valley Community Oil Co. He was manager for the company for about 15 years. He has always been active in community affairs. He was a member of the American Legion and the rotary club and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ida Miller, with whom he made his home, and three brothers, Clarence and Ernest of Rock Valley and Harry of Hudson SD.
He was preceded in death by this father, Fred Miller, three brothers Frank, William and his twin Albert.
