A Young Wife Called
Mrs. Charles Miller summoned suddenly by her maker.
This community was greatly saddened by the sudden death of Mr. Charles Miller at her home morthwest of town last Thursday evening. Her death was due to internal hemorrhages and she was ill only almost twenty-four hours.
Myrtle Edith De Remer was born in Raymond WI., August 26th 1892. She moved with her parents to Beresford SD in the fall of 1900. June 1st, 1913, she was united in marriage to Charles Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Miller, old-time residents of Union County. She was a lovely christian young woman, beloved by all who knew her. She united with the Pleasant Valley Methodist church last Easter, together with her husand, sister and brothers.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church of Hawarden Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. H. W. Jamison of Beresford SD and old friend of the family, and the minister who had untied the young couple in marriage. Rev. A. McIntosh of Hawarden assisted. Interment was made in Grace Hill cemetery. The casket was covered with a profusion of most beautiful roses, carnations and chrysanthemums. With Mrs. Jennie Smith at the piano Mrs. Weaver, the chorister, was assited by Mrs. Wolf and the Misses Heeg and Esgate in singing.. The church was filled with relatives and friends.
Those present as mourners were the husband, Charles Miller, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Miller, James and Miss Edith Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Finnie, Mr. and Mrs. D. H. DeRemer, Edna, Robin and Emery DeRemer, all of this vicinity. and more......listed.
