Adolph Victor Carlson passed away at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of his brother, S.A.Carlson in this city, from Brights disease and dropsy from which he had been suffering for a long time. Mr. Carlson came to Hawarden the first part of April from Minneapolis so that he might be cared for at the home of his brother. His condition grew steadily worse and the end was not unexpected.

Funeral services will be held at the Ross Funeral Home at 9 o'clock Friday morning with S.A, Oathout of Sioux Falls in charge. Burial will be made in Grace Hill cemetery

Adolph Victor Carlson wasa born in Kalman Lan, Smaland, Sweden, Feb. 13, 1878, and passed away June 28, 1933, at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 15 days. He came to America in March, 1902, when a young man of 24 years of age. He came to Union county and for a time made his home with his brothers, S.A. Carlson and C.J. Carlson, who at thast time resided on a farm northwest of Akron. Later he engaged in farming for himself and lived in the Big Springs vicinity and later farmed near Yula, Minn., but for a number of years past has made his home in Minneapolis. About seven or eight years ago he returned to his native land for a visit.

He is survived by two brothers, S.A. Carlson of Hawarden and C.J Cartlson of Clark, SD,. and three sisters, who reside in Sweden. Mr. Carlson never married.
