Mrs. Hugo Ludwig, 85, Alcester, died Oct. 2, 1975 at an Alcester nursing home.

Services were at 2 P.M., Monday, in Peace Lutheran Church at Alcester. Rev. Clemens Harma officiated. Burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Alcester, under the direction of the Wass Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ludwig, the former Violet M. Patrick, was born Dec. 7, 1889, in Plymouth County. She attended schools in Chatsworth and Hawarden and taught Garland and Petry schools in Union County.

Mrs. Ludwig was married Dec. 20, 1916, at Chatsworth. The couple lived on a farm southeast of Alcester until 1957 when they moved into Alcester. Mr. Ludwig died in 1974.

Mrs. Ludwig resided at Morningside Manor at Alcester since last August. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors are three sons, Arthur and Hugo R. of Alcester, and Charles W. of Hawarden; a daughter, Mrs. Edward ((Ida) Fickbohm of Alcester, a brother, Lawrence Patrick, and a sister, Miss Ida Patrick, both of Chatsworth; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
