Ordean Kenneth Webert was born on June 13, 1914 in Eagle Township, Sioux County, Hawarden, Iowa. His parents were Charles and Anna "Hemmingson" Webert. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in the Hawarden, Iowa area. Ordean was baptized and confirmed in the Norwegion Lutheran church.
On October 15, 1940, Ordean was united in marriage to Gertrude Van Wyhe at Sioux City, Iowa by Rev. George De Groot. Ordean and Gertrude farmed in the Hawarden, Iowa area until 1958 when they moved to a farm north of Reading, Minnesota. They farmed there until they moved to their present home at Worthington, Minnesota in 1979 when they retired.
Ordean was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Worthington, Minnesota.
Ordean died early Friday morning, October 7, 1983 at the Worthington Regional Hospital at the age of 69.
Surivors include his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Ardis, Mrs. Leon Collins of Lake Park, Iowa and Orleen, Mrs. Gary Grimmius of Marshall, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Kenneth, Larinda, Laila, Kelly, Gina; three sisters, Fern, Mrs. LeRoy Dirks of Everly, Iowa, Mrs. Arlene Zimmerman of Hawarden, Iowa and Neva, Mrs. Darrel Dirks of Canoga Park, California.
Ordean was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leslie and one sister, Bernice.
