Mrs. Lewis R. Doty, 73, of rural Alcester died Dec. 5 at the Hawarden Hospital.

Services were at 10 A.M., Dec. 8 in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. William Carel officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was recited at 7 P.M., Dec. 7 in the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Doty, the former Clara Magenot, was born Nov. 6, 1902, in Frankfurt, Kansas. She was married Feb. of 1921 in Canton. She had been employed as a registered nurse in the Hawarden Hospital. Mr. & Mrs. Doty moved to Omaha in 1943 and returned to a farm near Alcester in 1964. Mrs. Doty was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Raymond G. of Tucson, Ariz; two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Wilson and Mrs. Agnes Ann Bastenmeyer both of Omaha; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; four brothers, James of West Plains, MO., Henry of Elk Point, Mark of Wymier, ND, and Paul of Pasa Rubles, Calif.; and two sisters, Miss Stacie Magenot and Mrs. Ann Acuff, both of West Plains, MO.
