HAWARDEN, IOWA- ELVIS GENE BOYER, 37, of Hawarden, Iowa died Sunday January 30, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident 4 miles east of Hawarden.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden with Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow in the Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to the service.
Elvis Gene Boyer was born June 6, 1967 in Hawarden, Iowa, the son of Bruce Gene and Marcella (Westover) Boyer. He graduated from the Sioux Center High School in 1986.
Elvis married Sherry McKee October 15, 1996 in LeMars, Iowa. They had a son, Dustin who was born July 19, 1998 and they made their home in Sioux Center. Elvis was employed at the Sioux Center Egg Plant and also at Quick-to-fix plant.
Elvis liked fishing, enjoyed music, watching movies and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his father, Bruce Boyer of Hawarden; mother, Marcella Brandhagen of Hawarden; 3 brothers, Rick Boyer and wife Joann and son Boe of Hawarden, Alan Boyer and wife Patty and family of Cherokee, Iowa and Phillip Boyer and wife Gale and daughter Christy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister, Brenda Watkins of Hawarden; friend, Bill Watkins of Akron, Iowa; 3 uncles, Davis Westover of Hawarden, Merle Westover and wife Judy of Hawarden and Donny Westover and wife Christine of Blair, Oklahoma; aunt Dorothy Harward of Sioux City and many nephews and nieces.
