Mrs. Earl (Leona) Brandt, 63, of Ireton, died Sunday in a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, after a long illness.

Services will be at 1:30 P.M., Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. The Rev. Paul Sieveking will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of the Dow Funeral Home in Ireton.

Mrs. Brandt, the former Leona Hagge, was born Nov. 3, 1920 in Ireton. She married Earl Brandt May 1, 1947 in Ireton. The couple farmed in the Ireton area.

She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Missionary League.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Edward of Orange City, Martin with the U.S. Navy in Japan and Rev. David of Wentworth, SD; two daughters, Mary of Sioux Falls and Arlene of Aberdeen, SD; a sister, Mrs. Cornie (Neldred) Vander Mei of Ireton and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Earl Brandt

Mrs. Earl (Leona) Brandt, 63, of Ireton died Sunday, July 1, 1984, in a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, after a long illness. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. The Rev. Paul Sieveking officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Dow Funeral Home in Ireton. Pallbearers were Earl Buffington, Marvin Schmidt, Kenneth Miller, Rudolph Bertram, Hollis Karr and Walter Struck.
