Jacob Brandts passed away at Iowa City, Dec. 21, 1936, at the age of 27 years. He had been ailing for the past two years. He moved to Sioux Falls from Rock Valley last March. He is survived by his wife, and two daughters, Irene and Thelma, five brothers: Ed, John, Bert, Henry and Gerrit all of Rock Valley except Bert who is from Edgerton; three sisters: Mrs. Gerrit Droeger of Edgerton, Mrs. Arie Brouwer of Chandler and Mrs. Joe Brouwer of Inwood. Two uncles, John Brandts of Sioux Center, and Jacob of Hills, Minn. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Chr. Ref. Church at Rock Valley, with Rev. Gritters in charge.
