Borchers, Mrs. Henry - 1895-1955

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Borchers, 59, who was found dead Saturday at her farm home six miles southeast of Hawarden by Mr. Borchers when he returned from Akron, were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Barnard Funeral Home and at Trinity Lutheran Church at Akron at 2 o'clock. Rev. Luther Meyer officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden.

Mrs. Borchers was a life long resident of Plymouth county and her present home was on the farm just south of the Sioux County line.

She was born July 8, 1895 in Grant Township, Plymouth County. She was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Ludwigs pioneers of Plymouth County. She married Henry Borchers in 1919.

Mrs. Borchers was confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church in Grant Township, but had later united with Trinity Lutheran Church at Akron.

Besides the widower, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Annie Tammen of LeMars and Mrs. Lena Minlets of Craig, and four brothers, Gerd Ludwigs of Chatsworth, Henry and Eilert Ludwigs of Craig and William Ludwigs of LeMars.
