Eilert George Borchers, 57, who spent more than half his life in this Chatsworth Akron community, died in the Akron hospital Sunday following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Lawson Funeral Home in Akron with Rev. Luther Meyer officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Borchers was born June 1, 1896, in Sioux County. He spent 22 years at Newkirk, Okla.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Maria Ludwig, of Chatsworth, and Mrs. Helen Ludwig and Mrs. Etta Meiner of LeMars, and two brothers, Henry of Hawarden and Herman of Arkansas City, Kansas.
