William H. Borchers, 74, of Ireton died Tuesday, February 20, in a care center at Akron.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Friday, February 23, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Craig with the Rev. Beth Graham officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Borchers was born December 26, 1915, in Plymouth County. He married Dorothy Jahn November 7, 1940, in rural Ireton. A lifelong Plymouth County resident, he farmed until his retirement in 1980.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Borchers of Moville; three daughters, Glenda Ullrich of Sergeant Bluff, Carol Rembe of Sioux City and Mary Parkinson of Akron; a brother, Louis of rural Ireton; and nine grandchildren.
