Mrs. Hugh Davison dies at Marcus
Word has just reached us that Mrs. Hugh Davison has been called by death at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Kline, at Marcus IA. The remains arrived here Wednesday and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mrs. Davison had been a sufferer from ill health a long time and at several stages the past year her life was dispaired of but she rallied each time. She was well and favorable known to most all of us in Ireton. (She was Emma Atkins born Dec 2, 1853 in Wisconsin, born to Thomas Atkins born England and Elizabeth Putman born NY. She was the mother of four children - Mary J. Davison b. 1870 (Mrs. Elmer Hoffmier) died 1895; Sarah Ann Davison b. 1873 -1959; George H. Davison 1879 and Louis Davison 1884-1930.)
