Mrs. Rose De Booy
Mrs. Rose De Booy, 80, died on Tuesday, Feb 8, at the Mary Jane Brown home in Magnolia, MN. A former Hospers and Orange City resident, she had moved to Magnolia with her husband in 1970 to be near their children.
Services were held on Thursday, Feb 10, at the Christian Reformed Church, with burial at the Hospers cemetery. The arangements were made by the Holm Funeral Home.
The former Rose Muyskens, born in Hospers on July 24, 1896. Mrs. De Booy married Herbert De Booy at Hospers on May 8, 1919. The couple lived in Orange City for six years then moved to Hospers. In 1929 they moved to Magnolia where they lived until 1946, when they moved back to Hospers. They returned to live in Magnolia in 1970. They were members of the Chrisitan Reformed Church.
Mrs. De Booy was preceded in death by her husband on June 18, 1972, and by her parents.
She is survived by a son Dean De Booy, of Luverne, daughter, Mrs. Harry (Annabelle) Nelson of Magnolia, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
