INTERMENT: West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City, Iowa
Henrietta Hoekstra, 62, died Sunday morning, March 5, 1978, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
Mrs. Hoekstra was born June 4, 1915, th daughter of Arthur and Kate Elenbaas in Springfield, South Dakota. On March 1, 1934, she married Cornie Hoekstra and they farmed in the Boyden area for 38 years, moving to Orange City in 1975.
Mrs. Hoekstra was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include the widower: a daughter, Mrs. James (Joan) Horstman of Sioux Center; son, Alvin of Kenosha, Wisconsin, three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Marge) Van Gelder, Denver, Colorado: Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Hoekstra of Orange City: Mrs. Dennis (Karen) Vis of Minn apolis, Minnesota , 15 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. John (Thelma)Palsma of Springfield, SD, and Frances Elenbaas of Orange City.
She was preceded in death by a son, Corwin.
