Funeral services for Paul Bellock, sr.,83, long time Hawarden resident who died Tuesday at Algona, will be held at 9 o'clock this morning (Thursday) at St. Mary's Catholic church, Fr. L. Friedman officiating at the requiem mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The body arrived at the Barnard Funeral home Wednesday and the rosary was recited there at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening.
Mr. Bellock, who spent the last year and a half at the Good Sammaritan, was taken to the hospital in Algona Sunday prior to his death.
He was born July 31, 1877, at Kekoska, Wisc., in Dodge county. He married Otelia Henley on October 21, 1901 and they made their home at Salem, SD. In 1919 the family moved to Hawarden. Preceding him in death were his wife, who died December 15, 1958, and two sons, Mark and Willie.
Survivors include two sons, Leo Bellock of Algona, Ray Bellock of Watertown, SD., three daughters Ann. Mrs. Kenneth Jensen of Glendive, Mont., Hilda, Mrs. Louis W. Muth of Sioux City, and Rosena, Mrs.Joe Hamilton of Milford, Conn.; two brothers, Louis and Frank of Salem,SD.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
