Miss. Margaret Brown
lreton, Ia. .— Miss Margaret Brown, 75, a former Ireton resident, died Friday, March 21, in a hospital at Madison , Wis.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Brown. She was born on Sept. 15, 1882, at Gladbrook, Iowa. In 1887 she came with her parents to the Ireton vicinity and taught in the rural schools for several years. After her mother became ill she cared for her until she died.
In 1917, she and her father moved to Paulina. When her aunt, Mrs. Robert Brown died she kept house for, her uncle until he died. She then went to Madison, Wis., to be near her sister.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 25, in, the Presbyterian Church at Paullina and burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Edith Stewart, Seattle, Wash. and Mrs. Elliabeth Hoyt of Madison, Wis.; three nieces and one nephew.
