Ruth L. Cain
August 6, 1929-January 30, 1995Ruth L. Cain, 65, formerly of Hawarden, died January 30 at a hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, of cancer.
A memorial service was at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Loren Vogler officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden.
The former Ruth Larson was born August 6, 1929, in Hawarden, the daughter of Martin and Augusta (Carlson) Larson. She married James Cain December 23, 1948, in Hawarden. He preceded her in death. She lived 25 years at Rapid City, South Dakota, 13 years in Frisco, Colorado; and three years in Arizona City, Arizona. She had lived in Colorado Springs a short time.
She was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Arizona City, the Moose Club and the Arizona City Golf Club.
Suriviors include four sons and their wives, Kelly and Nancy Cain and Marty and Cyndee Cain, all of Colorado Springs, Pat and Kathryn Cain of Belton, Texas, and Tim and Kim Cain of Mankato, Minnesota; a sister, Jeanette Cysewski of Thousand Palms, California; a brother, Ruben Larson of Los Angeles, California; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials have been established in her name with Pikes Peak Hospice, 3630 Siinton Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907 or American Lung Association, 1600 Race, Denver, Colorado 80206.
