Funeral service for Nickolas Weyer,73, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home here Monday Noon were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church in Hawarden. Rev. C.H. Guinn of Akron officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Mr. Weyer was born in Hylaard, Holland, June 5, 1887, one of nine children, four of whom preceded him in death.

He married Maria Johanna Arends in Holland April 1, 1922 and they came to the United States in 1928, settling in the Lebanon area. They moved to Hawarden in 1934. He was a retired employee of the Everist Gravel Co.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Peter, Bernard and Frank, all of Hawarden; a daughter Mrs. Lynn Kissinger of Sioux City and 18 grandchildren.
