Funeral services for Mrs. Bert Hoffman,73, of Le Mars, mother of Cleo Hoffman of Hawarden who died Monday at the Sacred Heart hospital after a week's illness, will be at 9:30 this morning (Thursday) at St. James Catholic church in Le Mars. Rev. Fr. I.J.LaVelle will officiate with burial in Calvary cemetery. The rosary was recited Wednesday night at the Wiltgen-Luedtke Funeral home.

Mary Ellen Faust was born on March 16,1888 at Dyersville, Iowa and settled in the Le Mars community as a young girl. After her marriage January 10, 1905 to Delbert Hoffman at Merill, the couple farmed near Akron. She was a resident of Le Mars the last 35 years.

Preceding her in death were her husband; three sons, Paul, John and George, and one brother.

Survivors include five sons and three daughters, Delbert J. Bernard, Charles, Mrs. Ralph Heyl, Mrs.Le Roy Welter and Mrs. Joe Lewis all of Le Mars, Maynard of Trent, SD. and Cleo of Hawarden, three sisters, Mrs. Phillip Beaubien of Westfield, Mrs. Oscar Kapfer of Akron and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer of Ireton. 34 grandchildren and 33 great Grandchildren.
