Funeral services for Harold R. Goettsch,45, of Winnebago, Ill., son of Mrs. Sophie Goettsch, who died at Hines Memorial hospital in Hines, Ill. on May 16 after a long illness, were held at 1:30 the following Thursday in the Julian-Poorman Funeral home there, Rev. Wayne Kemp pastor of the Forest City Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in Willwood burial park there.

Mr. Goettsch was born Dcember 27, 1920, at Hawarden, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Goettsch. He served in World War II with the United State Army. On December 15, 1945. He married Jean Boomer in Rockford, Ill. and was employed as a Mechanic there for seven years. He lived in the Rockford area the past 28 years.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter Linda Jean attending Illinois State university; three sons, Raymond, attending Northern Illinois university at DeKalb, and Eugene and Kenneth both at home; his mother, Mrs. Sophie Goettsch of Hawarden; a brother Duane of Winnebago and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Wilkison of Bartlett, Ill., and Mrs. Luella Miller of Fort Knox, KY
